Glam Spas: The White Room

A true oasis of calm, The White Room on Walton St in London is a stone’s throw from Harrods and Harvey Nichols but a world away. With an all-white ambience, bespoke feel thanks to two treatment rooms and specialist therapists, the menu of fabulous treatments are based on Chinese medicinal methodology. Instead of standard treatments, the therapists alter the facials, massages and body cleanses according to how the body responds during specific seasons. The ultimate in discretion, the boutique spa is used by the rich and famous but they are too discreet to tell us which ones.

I booked in for the gorgeous 60 minute “Tuina” vitality massage ( £110) and, as soon as I complained about my bad neck and shoulders I was told that this was not going to be a massage that works the muscles in the way I would expect. Instead, it is based on this ancient philosophy of Chinese massage, helping to re-align the body with healing movements designed to restore the flow of energy throughout the body via pressure points. I didn’t think it would help me considering the stiffness of my neck but I felt light as a feather afterwards and everyone commented on how fresh my complexion appeared.

The products used in all treatments at The White Room  Clé Des Champs. If products could be a delicacy, these would be it. Available exclusively at The White Room, the therapists have all been trained at the Clé Des Champs Spa in France in order to work with them – and they are fabulous. Similarly to the treatments,these  luxurious beauty products  have been developed in accordance with traditional Chinese medicine, designed to harmonise body, mind and nature.

Also similarly to the treatments, the products are seasonal and help to restore the body’s inner flow of energy – and help you glow inside and out.

Clé Des Champs Facials

After a perfect deep clean of the epidermis, an extract of seasonal products nourishes and tones up the skin. Followed by a stimulation of the acupressure points in order to regain the balance of the organ/skin affected by the season according to the Traditional Chinese Medicine. After, your skin will feel young and full of life!

Anti ageing/60min £89 Oshiboris steamed with eucalyptus allows to deeply detoxify the skin before a perfect seasonal clean and scrub. Specific facial stimulation followed by an application of seasonal products. The treatment ends with a therapeutic massage with frozen wrappers of hydrolat of rose petals. Rejuvenation effect guaranteed!
