Supporting new talent, Mulberry’s Creative Director Emma Hill was on hand at Graduate Fashion Week’s awards gala to crown newcomer Molly Ratcliff as the winner of the Accessories Award.
The graduate won the accolade over fellow runners-up Mark Williams from Kingston University and Olivia Hanson from the University of Westminster. All showed skill in the category which encompasses millinery, bags, belts, jewellery and footwear but it was Molly who impressed with a clutch bag that caught Emma Hill’s eye.
She commented: “Her illustrations were really professional yet fabulous and inspiring. She is a great all-rounder and had made a very inventive clutch bag cut from one piece of leather and held together by screw head rivets – we loved it!”
Molly, who has a BA in Fashion from Northumbria University, will receive £5,000 to help launch her career.
